December 2004 Graduates Reflect on Catapult University Benefits
Set in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains above Boone, NC at the prestigious Broyhill Inn, Catapult University is designed to bring end users up to speed on the full capabilities of this powerful retail automation tool. ECRS recently implemented an enhanced class design featuring a greater degree of product knowledge and student interaction. Whether attendees are brand new to Catapult or have been using it for years, a more focused hands-on approach to training helps deliver an optimum degree of product knowledge during the four days of classes.
This past week ECRS's Catapult University graduated another class of newly educated end users from its intensive four-day software training school. At the close of sessions, the students were enthusiastic about their learning experience and talked with us about their Catapult training.
End Users Reflect on their Experience
"Catapult is incredibly versatile and can accommodate all types of business models," commented Tony Jayne, manager of The Market on St. Claire, a grocery store located in Toledo, OH. "The class instruction was thorough, in depth and very well organized. Mac Mast is a great instructor."
Sally Honeysett, owner of Natures Market in Kent, WA, said she liked learning the functions and capabilities of Catapult. "Knowing what Catapult can do means I can learn some of these things as I encounter them in real time." Honeysett added, "We are going to use Catapult for better inventory control, automatic reordering, more accurate pricing, fewer cashier mistakes, and for making shelf tags and signs. These are things we just can't do with our current system."
“Learning from others in the class was a great experience,” said Marilyn Jenson, general manager of Socrates Cafe in Toledo, OH. “The quality of instruction was excellent, Mac Mast used examples that everyone understood." Jenson added, "Our accommodations were comfortable and the daily selection of food was quite tasty."
Edd Martinez, president of Cold Fusion Creamery in Toledo, OH, said getting a complete overview of the systems capabilities is very important. "I really enjoyed the quality of the instructor and his depth of knowledge. You could not stump Mac, he always seemed to be able to find solutions to any potential problem presented by each student. I would recommend Catapult University to other users because getting a complete overview of the system capabilities is really important."
