One Terminal - Many Jobs

The name Freedom Panel is derived from the freedom and flexibility this terminal provides retailers to use the unit for multiple applications within a store environment. One terminal, many jobs - Catapult POS, Catapult Manager Workstation, Customer Service Station, or as the customer interface for an ECRS QUICKcheck self-checkout kiosk.

Ruggedized & Ready for Retail

The retail checkout counter and back office are never friendly places for sensitive electronics. Sturdy, rugged, and built to last, the Freedom Panel is designed to withstand common environmental variables in a wide range of retail settings. The touch screen is sealed to resist moisture and dirt from entering the terminal through contact with the user. Because the CPU and touch screen are self-contained in one unit, the entire solution is elevated, providing maximum airflow and minimizing susceptibility to contamination build-up such as dust, which is a frequent
problem for PC box and tower solutions.

Simplified Cable Management

With four embedded powered USB ports, the Freedom Panel provides both power and communication through efficient single-line cabling for peripherals such as receipt printers, signature capture devices, scanners, and scales.

Rapid Service & Replacement

Each Freedom Panel is assembled in the USA, providing for quick delivery of new units and a high availability of parts for all of the US and Canada.

Callibration-Friendly Touch Screen

The Freedom Panel leverages the latest infrared technology to provide a touch screen interface that rarely needs calibrating, thereby simplifying support, eliminating cashier error, and expediting checkout times. Unlike resistive touch screens that often wear out after several thousand cashier touches, the Freedom Panel’s infrared technology has no film to wear out, significantly extending the life of the terminal in the field. Unlike capacitive touch screens, this screen is sensitive to any touch, including fingernails and gloved hands, requiring less user training.

Ultra Low Energy Consumption

Designed from the start to be an energy-saving leader in the industry, the Freedom Panel uses an Intel® low-voltage, low-heat technology Pentium® M processor. This new micro architecture is designed to meet the current and future demands of high-performance, low-power embedded computing, making it an ideal fit for retail automation applications.

Ultra Compact Footprint

With a highly compact footprint, the Freedom Panel requires minimal space so retailers can reclaim valuable real estate at the checkout counter and in commonly tight back office environments.

Ultra Fast Transaction Speed

Tuned and optimized to perform best with Catapult’s POS transaction engine and the ECRS QUICKcheck self-checkout system, the Freedom Panel provides split second POS transaction speed when you need it most.

Multiple Mounting Options

Versatile, sleek mounting poles are available for elevating and positioning the cashier and customer panels at the point of sale. Compact matching bases accommodate desktop and countertop applications, including an optional CD ROM drive. A wall mountable option is also available.

Catapult & QUICKcheck Inside

Each Freedom Panel ships with either Catapult or QUICKcheck installed and ready to perform right out of the box. The Microsoft Windows Embedded POS operating system (WEPOS) is also tuned and optimized to perform best with ECRS retail applications.
