The OpenPOS configuration of Catapult uses proven, open, and leading technology to provide a comprehensive and cost effective solution for retailers. OpenPOS provides retailers with state-of-the-art hardware. The plug-and-play solution includes POS Terminals, receipt printers, high performance scanner-scales, and ECRS's Catapult Retail Automation Software. Catapult POS software is tightly integrated with the hardware components via OPOS, providing seamless cashier and customer interaction.
Catapult's Customer Billboard helps retailers drive sales and impulse buying in the checkout lanes. The CID dynamically displays advertising, the customer's live transaction journal, and scale readout on a secondary CRT or LCD screen. Datalogic's Gryphon GD4400- 2D Scanner is a powerful hand held scanner capable of scanning 2D and prescription barcodes. The Gryphon scanner, powered by CATAPULT (TM) 5.1 functionality, allows the cashier to scan a customer's driver's license for automated customer on-boarding (loyalty and co-op membership), membership association, and NPLEx (TM) pseudoephedrine tracking. Driver's License scanning can also be used for electronic age verification at the point-of-sale.

The next generation of the Datamax E-Class product line is the DMX E-4204 thermal label printer. The E-4204 was designed for use in applications where print speed is important, and label stock is consumed more frequently. Available in either direct thermal or thermal transfer mode, the E-4204 is a versatile product designed for performance.
