Mac's Convenience Stores Inc. Selects ECRS's Catapult for all 850+ Locations in Ontario and Western Canada
ECRS to Provide Total Convergent Solution, Including POS Software and Hardware
ECR Software Corporation, a leader in value-based automation software, hardware and services for the retail industry, announces that Mac's Convenience Stores Inc., a subsidiary of Alimentation Couche-Tard, Inc., is implementing Catapult as its point-of-sale (POS) solution throughout 850+ stores in Canada. Catapult is a scalable, highly-configurable POS and store automation solution that allows retailers to implement enterprise-wide modifications without custom development.
In addition to Catapult, Mac's also selected ECRS to provide the total ECRS Convergent POS solution, which includes Microsoft's XP Embedded operating system and the Epson IM-310 POS hardware platform. The Catapult Convergent Solution is designed to provide maximum shareholder value with lower startup costs and total cost of ownership.
At the beginning of the POS selection process, Mac's knew it needed to upgrade its DOS POS system. The company sought a modern POS solution that could be easily modified to add new features and functions while simultaneously providing simplicity and sensibility at the store level. Catapult's Feature Generator functionality and cashier training simplicity, as well as ECRS's long-standing reputation for meeting customers' needs at a value point, proved to be critical factors in Mac's decision. The ability for ECRS to deliver a complete, convergent solution, including software, hardware and services, was another key factor in Mac's decision.
