Results for 2000 | 2001 | 2002 | 2003 | 2004 | 2005
For the second year in a row ECR Software Corporation has received top honors in the Retail Information Systems News end-of-year supplement entitled "LeaderBoard 2001 : The 50 Best Software Companies Serving Retail." Published each December by RIS, the supplement reports on the top 50 retail software companies as ranked by actual end-users of the companies' products. ECRS finished tied for 3rd in the category Top 10 Emerging Leaders. Even more impressive was the fact that none of ECRS's competitors ranked in the top 10, and only one made it into the top 50.
How The Survey Worked
The goal of the LeaderBoard is simple : to provide user-based evaluations for individuals purchasing technology for their retail operations. End-users were asked to complete a survey created by RIS News in which they ranked retail software companies based on the following criteria :
- Vendor's ability to meet customer's overall expectations
- Vendor's knowledge of the retail industry
- Vendor's ability to benchmark ROI & TCO
- Vendor's ability to successfully implement product(s) in a retail environment
- Quality of Vendor's software upgrades
- Vendor's ability to meet customer's desired installation schedule
- Overall functionality of vendor's product(s)
The survey included several multi-billion dollar companies such as IBM, Microsoft, NCR, and Oracle.
