HBS and ECRS Announce Cooperative Front-to-Back Integration Project

Pharmacy Automation and Retail Solution Providers Complete Phase One Integration

April 17, 2007 – Health Business Systems, Inc (HBS), an SXC company, and ECR Software Corporation (ECRS) have signed an agreement to provide integration between HBS's Pharmacy Management System and ECRS' CATAPULT POS and Retail Automation Suite. The integration project directly benefits the companies’ mutual customers by providing seamless advanced level integration between the two systems. Phase One integration is already complete and is running in store locations. Phase One provides a direct pharmacy-to-POS link that automates prescription sales and will-call management by capturing correct co-pays and ensuring accurate pricing at checkout. Phase Two integration will encompass a real-time, extensive two-way communication between the HBS and CATAPULT servers that will provide both cashiers and pharmacy managers with vital information and complete in-store situational awareness.
