8-Store Texas Liquor Chain Automates with Catapult
Centennial Liquor is an
eight-store liquor retailer in the Austin,
TX area. Like so many other businesses today, Centennial has
implemented a modern point-of-sale and back office solution to streamline the
chain's operations. Owner Richard Barnes took a few minutes
out of his busy schedule to talk about how he's using ECRS's CatapultTM to automate his liquor
retail enterprise.
Inventory Movement : The Big Picture
Because Centennial's eight locations serve such a wide range of customers,
the various stores have different success with particular lines of
beverages. "We do all of our ordering from headquarters based
on the historical sales trends at each store," explains
Barnes. "Catapult's powerful reporting gives us the data we
need to do the most efficient ordering possible. From this data we're able to
see what inventory items are moving quickly and which items are collecting
dust. We then use Catapult's Electronic Worksheets to
distribute merchandise to the stores where particular items are having the
most success."
