ECRS is seeking candidates for a QA Specialist on its QA Team.

Job Summary

ECR Software develops and implements a full range of technologies that power many of the world’s retail automation systems. The ECRS QA Team is looking for a QA Specialist for its operations in Boone, NC. The ECRS QA Team is dedicated to quality, reliability, performance, and usability for software that is used in thousands of retail operations across North America.

This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary. We are looking for creative, innovative team members to help us create world-class, high quality product. We need team members who enjoy delving into new features and validating use cases for new features and modifications to existing feature sets. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements and feature design documents; creating test plans & detailed test scripts for features and products; creation and maintenance of data needed for testing; design and development of test automation tools; documenting; recommends improvements, solutions and options based on business needs, technical requirements and user acceptance.

Requirements

The following knowledge or experience is required: Problem determination and troubleshooting skills, ability to organize and prioritize work in a mostly fast-paced, changing environment; technical aptitude and an ongoing learning attitude; professional attitude and a team player; strong work ethic; excellent verbal skills, written communication skills, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to express ideas and concepts clearly.

Familiarity with help desk procedures, customer service, and a 4-year degree in computer related field, equivalent experience, or extensive PC experience is preferred. Retail experience and or technical writing skills are a plus.

Candidates must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Boone, NC.
